Privacy

In short
This site uses no cookies and doesn't follow you across other sites. We count, anonymously, how many people view a page and how fast it loads. We process personal data only when you contact us, and then only to answer you.
Below is exactly what we do and don't keep, why, and what you can do about it.
Who we are
Yesterdid (formerly TT Tech) is the controller for the data this site processes. Contact: Tom Teurlings. Based in Amsterdam, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 87758849, VAT ID NL004471883B75.
Questions about privacy go to tom@tttech.nl.
What happens when you visit
The site is static and hosted by Vercel. Like any web server, Vercel's servers keep short technical logs: your IP address, the page requested, the time and the type of browser. We use those logs only to keep the site running and secure. We have the site served from the EU where possible.
Vercel Speed Insights measures how fast pages load. These are anonymised performance figures per page, without cookies and without building a profile of you.
For visitor numbers we use PostHog, set up without cookies: nothing is stored in your browser, not in cookies and not in localStorage. To keep the pages of one visit together, PostHog computes a temporary marker on its server from your IP address, your browser and a secret value that changes every day. That marker is not stored in your browser, can no longer be traced back after a day, and builds no person profile. There is no session recording: we don't see what you type or where your mouse is. We count page views and clicks on buttons, and if something on the page breaks we send the error message along so we can fix it. If Do Not Track is on in your browser, nothing is counted at all. The figures go to PostHog's EU servers, through our own domain.
Why there is no cookie banner
A banner is needed when a site stores something on your device or recognises you on your next visit. We do neither. The counts are anonymous and the temporary marker expires after a day, and the technical logs are needed to deliver the site. That doesn't require consent, so we don't ask for it.
When you contact us
If you email us, we keep your email with your name, your address and what you wrote. We use that only to reply and to have the conversation you started.
If you book a conversation through the scheduler, you're using a Google Calendar appointment schedule. Google processes data there under its own privacy policy; we receive your name, your email address and the chosen time, and use them only for that appointment.
We don't add you to a newsletter or list, and we don't share your data with anyone else. If the conversation leads to an engagement, we agree on that separately.
What we don't do
The site has no forms, no accounts and no payments. We process no special categories of personal data, such as data about health, religion or origin. We don't sell data and use no ad networks or tracking pixels.
On what basis
We process the technical logs, the performance figures and the anonymous visitor numbers on the basis of our legitimate interest: a site that works, is secure, and that we know is doing its job. We weighed that against your privacy, which is why we keep it as light as described above.
We process your email and your booking because you asked us to: they are steps towards a possible agreement.
How long we keep it
We keep email for as long as the conversation matters, then delete it. A booking stays in our calendar until it has passed; the notes we make for the conversation we keep for as long as we're talking.
Visitor and performance figures are only useful as totals and we don't trace them back to people. The counts in PostHog are deleted automatically after twelve months. Vercel's server logs are kept briefly and then cleared automatically.
Where your data lives
The site is served from the EU where possible. The visitor numbers sit on PostHog's EU servers. For email and the scheduler we use Google; Google may process data outside the EU and relies on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses for that.
Your rights
You can always ask what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to how we use it. Email tom@tttech.nl; we respond within a month. For the anonymous visitor numbers there is nothing we can look up, because we don't know which counts are yours.
If you think we're not handling your data properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens. An email first usually sorts it out faster.
If something changes
If we start doing something different on the site, such as adding a form, we update this page and change the date at the top. What's written here is what happens.
